Lynn

Waxhaw Club Secretary

Lynn is a native Charlottean, and after being away from the Queen City for 45 years (she lived in the
greater Houston area and Pittsburgh) she and her husband Bob decided it was time to come “home.”
Lynn graduated from Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, Texas with a degree in Elementary
Education. After teaching for a few years, she began working for Exxon (later ExxonMobil) in Houston. She met her husband Bob at Exxon, and they have been married for 24 blissful years. Lynn and Bob’s blended family consists of son (Michael), daughter (Christy), and two cool grandchildren: Kasey and
Collin. Currently, Lynn works from home for a company in Pittsburgh in a Payroll Analyst capacity.

When she has time, she enjoys stargazing, metal detecting, music, photography, taking day trips, and
most of all: her family.

Lynn has been a Waxhaw Lion since August of 2022. If you ask her, she’ll tell you joining Lions was the best thing she’s done for herself in many years. She and Bob attended a Lions meeting in Pittsburgh (as invited guests) over 10 years ago, and the meeting has always stayed with her. After getting settled here in Waxhaw, she told Bob she wanted to find out more about Lions Club. To her delight, she found Waxhaw Lions online and inquired about meetings, etc. Shortly thereafter, she received a response, inviting her to join the club in the Waxhaw July 4 th parade. A scheduling conflict kept her from attending the parade, but a few weeks later, she attended her first meeting. She was bowled over by how friendly and welcoming everyone was, and by the end of the night, she knew she had found her niche.

Currently, she is Waxhaw Lions Club Secretary. She enjoys learning about Lions and experiencing the joy of helping others in need.
