Dr. Sarit Catchatoorian graduated from Brigham Young University in 1990 with a Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology and a minor in Psychology. He went on to earn his Doctor of Optometry degree from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry (now part of Drexel University) in 1994. His optometric career began in North Carolina in 1993, where he completed his externship and established his long-standing commitment to patient care.

Dr. Catchatoorian and his wife, Cheryl, raised their four children—two daughters and two sons—in Charlotte before moving to Waxhaw in 2021. They also enjoy spending weekends at their cabin in Nebo.

In 2001, Dr. Catchatoorian opened his own private practice in the Ballantyne area, which he later sold to MyEyeDr in 2017. He continues to see patients there once a month. Throughout the week, he provides eye care in nursing and rehabilitation centers across the Charlotte and Asheville regions. On Fridays, he practices in Marion alongside his wife. He is also the owner and founder of Point of View Consulting & Eyecare.

Outside of his professional work, Dr. Catchatoorian enjoys traveling, spending time with his children and two grandsons, and staying active—playing soccer and golf weekly.
